Kinder

In 1946, and because the chocolate had become a rare and expensive product, Pietro Ferrero, pastry chef and chocolate maker from Alba, a village in Piedmont in northern Italy, had the idea of replacing the cocoa beans with hazelnuts that were numerous in his region. After a while he made a preparation for hazelnuts and milk with a little cocoa, which quickly became the hazelnut chocolate spread known today as Nutella (originally was called Supercrema). In 1949, Michele took over from his father Pietro and with a new perspective made the family business grow more significantly. Ferrero today is our children's most favorite delicacy.
